We're hiring a Certified Field Technician to join our team, supporting the Boston, MA, and New Haven-Milford, CT metro areas, including surrounding communities such as Norwood, MA, Wallingford, CT, and Hartford, CT.
In this role, you'll regularly travel within these regions and occasionally nationwide, so flexibility and comfort with travel are essential.
As a Field Technician at Window Nation, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing precise project measurements and completing essential post-sale services. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to our reputation for outstanding quality and customer care.
Role ResponsibilitiesMaintains Construction Supervisor License (CSL)*Visits residential customer sites to measure each window, door, sliding glass door opening as neededEnsures orders meet required installation specifications; ensures comprehensive purchase order, including material and labor requirementsSupports pricing process by providing accurate measurements and assessments for labor/materialsReviews installation project/process with customersAnticipates roadblocks that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutionsExecutes change order specificationsMaintains service parts inventory and equipmentCompletes service assessments; identifies needed services, materials, and labor to relevant stakeholdersFulfills service appointment specificationsMaintains a substantive knowledge of product, install techniques, and construction basicsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent2+ years professional experience measuring replacement windows2+ years professional experience installing/repairing windows, roofing, siding, and related home improvement projectsConstruction Supervisor License (CSL)**Must be able to pass EPA certification and follow EPA RegulationsKnowledge of local permit/license/historical/HOA requirementsValid Driver’s License; and driving record that meets company’s insurance standardsDesired QualificationsProficiency with MS Word, MS Excel; experience with Customer Relationship management systems preferredCapability to navigate various applications on an iPadCustomer-centric mindsetSuperior time and project management skillsAbility to navigate a CRM system (i.e., SalesForce, Dynamics, Microsoft systems)Ability to use an extension ladder in a safe manner to measure windows and perform services$85,000 - $85,000 a yearWindow Nation cultivates a culture of inclusion that respects our employees' individual strengths, views, and experiences.
