Various (United States of America)We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Certified CT Technologist to join our imaging team.
This role requires clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset to ensure safe, high-quality CT imaging. You'll work independently and collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care, contribute to accurate diagnoses, and help maintain a seamless and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Care & Imaging Excellence
Perform CT scans in accordance with physician orders and department protocolsObtain complete patient histories and assess for contraindicationsAdminister contrast media safely and according to guidelinesConfirm proper patient identification and use anatomical markers appropriatelyEvaluate image quality, release patients, and recognize conditions requiring physician interventionEnsure patient privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout each procedureFollow sterile techniques and maintain venipuncture competencyPrioritize tasks to meet workflow demands and scheduled proceduresDemonstrate critical thinking and strong communication with patients and familiesEquipment Operation
Operate CT scanners and power injectors safely and effectivelyAdjust technique to minimize radiation dose while ensuring optimal image qualityMaintain, clean, and disinfect equipment per infection control policiesReport equipment issues promptly and ensure proper calibration before use.Education & Communication
Use AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Discuss, Explain, Thank) to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and familiesAddress concerns and escalate unresolved issues before procedures beginTrain and support new team members as neededMaintain accurate, legible, and timely documentationStay informed through regular communication and complete required trainingsQuality Control
Consistently produce high-quality images per radiologist feedback and audit standardsUpload completed exams to PACS, manage RIS entries, and print CDs/logs when necessaryPerform and document all required quality control checks and compliance proceduresOperations & Workflow
Assist patients with mobility, positioning, and safe transfersRestock supplies and maintain a clean, organized workspaceApply shielding and immobilization devices as neededSupport teammates across modalities and clerical tasks as time allowsParticipate in on-call rotation as neededMaintain productivity levels in line with departmental standardsComply with Joint Commission and regulatory guidelinesRequired Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
Certifications:
ARRT-R (Radiography) – required
ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) – required
BLS – from American Heart Association – required
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Radiology in a hospital setting required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in CT in a hospital setting required.
