JOB SUMMARY:
The Garnishment Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of employee wage garnishments in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of garnishment orders, including child support, tax levies, creditor garnishments, and other wage attachments. The analyst serves as a liaison between payroll, legal, HR, external agencies, and Team Members to ensure proper documentation, communication, and resolution of garnishment-related matters. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of payroll systems and garnishment laws, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensures court ordered wage garnishments are processed accurately, completely, and timely including interrogatories, answers, and wage inquiries. Communicates with ADP Garnishment account manager, court representatives, attorneys and Team Members with regards to garnishment orders. Ensure processing checklist/SOP is followed, as appropriate for each wage garnishment. Prepares analysis of individual employee garnishments as necessary. Research and respond to inquiries. Prioritizes garnishment orders and entries accurately within Oracle Payroll system. Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws governing wage garnishment requirements. Responsible for verifying entered garnishments, trouble shooting, basic analysis and research. Ensures reconciliation of withholding amounts between Oracle Payroll deductions and ADP for garnishment and tax levies and remittances to the proper payees. Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and garnishments. Keep abreast of changes in payroll regulations and best practices.BASIC REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED/equivalent required Two years of experience in role-related fields such as accounting or general payroll administrator/analyst Two years of experience with multi-state wage garnishments Experience with ADP Smart Compliance and Oracle Payroll Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet competing deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office applications (excel, outlook, word) Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Maintain the highest standard of ethics and discretion as a shared services professional. Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
