Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a highly experienced Central Service Technician (CST) with a deep commitment to surgical excellence? Our Materials Management Department is seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of three years of experience in the critical operations of a Sterile Processing Department (SPD). We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about perfection and dedicated to empowering surgical teams through impeccable instrument preparation. Responsibilities:

Execute the complete instrument cycle with expertise, including identification, decontamination, sterilization, and assembly. This involves processing all surgical instrument sets, managing crash carts, surgery case carts, and surgery center core supply carts, as well as handling necessary equipment.Inventory Control and Supply Management: Properly relieve inventory from the storage room by accurately entering issues into the Materials Management Inventory system (ESI). Process all returns promptly. Report all inventory discrepancies to the Supervisor immediately. Actively participate in weekly cycle counts and annual inventory procedures. Maintain instinctive attention to detail to proactively anticipate needs, prevent potential issues, and ensure the highest level of quality control in every sterile processing task. Continuously drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency, safety, and overall quality within the sterile processing environment. Handle telephone inquiries effectively and use the inventory system (ESI) for ordering of inventory or non-inventory supplies.

This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Job Requirements
High School Graduate, or General Studies required.Minimum of 3 years Central Service experience, Sterile Processing required.or 1 year of experience and registered CSTechnician/ Sterile Processing Technician required.
