**Description**
As a Cellular System Engineer, you will be responsible for the pre- and post-silicon bring up, and validation of end-to-end cellular systems. You will understand and map systems algorithms and requirements to HW/FW architecture, simulation and emulation based validation of the control flows and algorithms.
**Responsibilities**
+ This position requires strong collaboration with SoC, PHY, RF HW, RF FW, and SW teams to ensure the end-to-end system requirements are met. You will also have a critical hands-on role in pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up of silicon, to support productization.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS and 3 + years of relevant industry experience.
+ Good understanding of communication theory and signal processing, AGC, beamforming, Tx power control, mitigation of radio impairments, and calibration algorithms.
+ Good experience with Matlab, Python, and C/C++ and efficient analysis and automation scripting.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal especially in a multi-functional environment.
+ Demonstrate clarity of thought and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MSEE or beyond is preferred.
+ Experience in the design and bringup of wireless communication systems with expertise in cellular systems preferred.
+ Strong technical background in 5G-NR/LTE/UMTS (3G/2G) physical layer and protocols.
+ Hands-on experience in applying AI/ML techniques on real-world data sets to tackle sophisticated engineering problems.
+ Experience with silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms is a plus.
+ Hands-on experience in the bring up of real silicon in the lab. Ability to efficiently use lab equipment (such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, etc).
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
