Job DescriptionAECOM is currently seeking an experienced Utility Coordinator to support transportation design-build projects throughout the Fort Myers, Florida area, ensuring effective coordination with project teams, contractors, and local agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinating utility relocation activities with utility companies, contractors, and project teams to minimize conflicts and delays in construction schedulesReviewing and analyzing utility plans, specifications, and agreements to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulationsConducting regular site visits to monitor utility relocation progress and identify potential issues or conflictsFacilitating communication between utility companies, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and maintain project timelinesPreparing and maintaining accurate documentation of utility coordination activities, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and progress reportsAssisting in the development and implementation of utility relocation strategies to minimize project impacts and costsParticipating in project meetings and providing updates on utility coordination activities to project management and stakeholdersUnder general supervision, performing routine duties related to utility coordination and relocationDisplaying knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specificationsApplying sound professional judgment on details of work and utility-related issuesIndependently performing walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and designConducting quantity surveys for tracking and reporting purposesProviding technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors as neededEnsuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding utility relocations and right-of-way acquisitionsCollaborating with design teams to incorporate utility considerations into project plans and specificationsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree plus 4 years of related experience, or AS Degree plus 6 years of related experience, or HS/GED plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or educationValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the nature of the projects associated with this position a valid US citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications:
