Job Description:
BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company is looking for an amazingly talented CEI Senior Inspector to join our team! In this role you will get to lead inspection efforts on complex transportation construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents while mentoring junior inspectors and supporting project delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
Working under the supervision of the Project Administrator, prepare and check engineering computations, inspect construction work, conduct field material sampling and testing, and coordinate the work of junior Inspectors.Coordinate and manage the lower-level inspectors and verification testingResponsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and /or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor’s operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documentsMonitor on-site construction activities; prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and reviews periodical pay estimates with contractor for accuracy and track quantities of completed workPrepare sketches and assemble data for Project Administrator to utilize when making changes to the projectPerform field inspection of contractors’ operations to confirm compliance with contract documents; prepare inspection reportsPrepare Daily Reports in Site Manager software as well as any other client required documentationPerform field sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract and client’s scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)Inspect traffic control devices and report deficiencies to ensure compliance with standardsMaintain detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant eventsParticipate in the development of job safety practices and observe general job safety practicesMonitor and inspect the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client’s requirements)Available to work daytime, nighttime, and/or weekend shifts as requiredAdhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaignsEnsure timely completion of time sheets and expense reportsTake ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goalsPossesses excellent analytical, technical, and communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs and Adobe AcrobatAble to read, interpret and explain construction plans, contract provisions, specifications, and inspection proceduresPossess highest level of technical expertise; capable of addressing the most difficult and novel issues/problemsMaintains a positive attitude and collaborative spiritRequired Qualifications:
High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in a technical discipline/construction related field, or equivalent work experience10+ years of related experience in heavy construction projectsMust have, or be able to earn within a year, some or all of the following certifications as required by job assignments: FDOT Intermediate MOT, CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges), CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I, CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I, CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II, CTQP Pile Driving Inspection, CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection, CTQP Grouting Technician Level I (Bridges), CTQP Post-Tensioning Technician Level I (Bridges), IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, CTQP Final Estimates Level I, Nuclear Radiation Safety, IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I, Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors, and Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects)
