Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced CEI Senior Building Inspector to join our Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) team in Tampa, Florida. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
Being fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the building construction to include masonry work and familiarization with the local and State building codes and ordinancesPerforming under the general supervision of the Project AdministratorRelying on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goalsSetting own project deadlinesProviding on the job training to new employeesMonitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection dutiesPerforming daily field inspections and maintaining inspection recordsParticipating in punch lists, testing, and commissioningTracking quality assurance progressProviding input to documentation for area and equipment turnoversCoordinating with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance and timely resolution of issuesConducting regular safety inspections and enforcing safety protocols on construction sitesReviewing and interpreting complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentsPreparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining accurate project documentationParticipating in project meetings and providing expert advice on construction methods and materialsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:
High School Diploma plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or educationUS Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the workValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewPreferred Qualifications:
Experience in inspection of building constructionExperience in performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting fields testFour (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge constructionCTQP Final Estimates Level ICTQP Concrete Field Technician Level ICTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level IICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level ICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level IICTQP Pile Driving InspectionAdditional InformationSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position
