Job Description Day Shift B: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat) Insight Global is seeking a talented and motivated professional to join a large technology client as a Critical Environment Facility Support Engineer with a focus on Electrical & Mechanical Systems. Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller ones. Experience with building management systems (EPMS). Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source. Critical Load is still supplied through one source (“N”). PDU shutdown for power meter replacement. Power Interruption Testing (PIT). Master controller shutdown or replacement. Previous datacenter experience a plus. This person will perform basic monitoring of the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety) within the data center. Safely assists in providing emergency monitoring and response to various abnormal conditions with supervision, utilizing emergency operating procedures (EOPs). Works on tasks (e.g., making rounds, initial assessments on equipment performance) as assigned with limited supervision. This team is responsible for power, breaker, switch gear, fire protection, water, fan speed, building temperature automation systems, etc. in a datacenter. Ideal Type of Candidate: • Extremely flexible • Energetic • Loves to solve problems • Teachable but good at teaching others • Open-mindedness/adaptability • Somebody with the ability to figure things • Good teammate, 1 bad seed can spoil a bunch • Safety first mindset Responsibilities include: • Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.) • Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policies • Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration. • Support electrical infrastructures throughout datacenter campus ranging from a single, large-capacity facility to several smaller one. Compensation: $44/hr to $54/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Preferred: Qualified Electrical Worker. Required: All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification. **They can get OSHA and NFPA 70E within 1-2 weeks and we will initiate it! Required: Experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields. Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Required: 5+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center). Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks. Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). 5 years experience overall, some experience in a data center
