What You Will Do
Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Senior Supervisor to join our world-class organization.
Lead a team of engineers to ensure all project and customer requirements are met.
Ensure team meets standard for documentation and technical quality.
Assign and delegate work to ensure efficient and effective accomplishment of project deadlines and milestones. Assist in project and/or task planning.
Accountable for performance management of direct reports and provides direct, constructive, and actionable feedback.
Champions culture consistent with PW values.
Executes action plans, both proactive and reactive, to continue fostering employee. engagement.
English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
Ensure compliance to all environmental, health and safety rules, policies, and procedures, as well as Ethics requirements.
Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 10% domestically.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor degree in Engineering
5 years of engineering experience or an Advanced Degree in Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience.
Experience in C/C++, Python, Linux, DOORS, Simulink, or Java.
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, Software, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience with gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems.
Experience with managing a team.
Experience with Engineering Standard Work.
Existing secret clearance.
