Job Description & Summary

A Data Quality Management Lead is required to lead the data steward team and manage data quality initiatives. This lead role will be responsible for overseeing data quality across internal data domains and leading a team of onshore and offshore resources. It will require the development and implementation of data quality frameworks, drive data ownership across internal data domains, lead data quality remediation, and influence data architecture decisions to support accurate and consistent data flows. 

This role ensures high data quality, robust governance, and effective stewardship across the organisation, supporting the full Client Engagement value cycle. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational oversight. 

Responsibilities 

Provides subject matter expertise within the domain the end to end data flow, dependencies and standards. 

Lead a team of data stewards responsible for internal and third-party data management 

Oversee data lifecycle management of master and reference data in compliance with Network standards. 

Define, monitor and report on data quality KPIs and remediation activities 

Drive data governance and compliance across internal data domains ensuring that data domain owners, SME’s and data stewards maintain their accountability and responsibility for their internal data 

Develops plans to meet data quality goals and ensure delivery of data steward activities 

Develop supporting data policy guidance documentation with respect to Internal Data and Third-Party Data Management 

Take a lead data role on business operations solutions transformation programmes managing data remediation activities and supplementary resources delivering to this work 

Ensure approvals are obtained from Data Governance on key decisions through the preparation of position papers and/or presentations 

Establish additional data domain governance and operationalise as needed 

Acts as a single point of contact with the GCDO and territory data quality community for network data management of internal and third-party data. 

Manage any change to internal data management operational ownership or changes in processes or responsibilities. 

Education/Professional Qualifications: 

Candidates to have minimum a third level qualification (a qualification in data management desirable) 

Experience & Skills Required 

Minimum 6+ years in data management role 

Strong experience of data quality management and leading data steward teams 

Experience and/or knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK (Data management body of knowledge) 

Strong understanding of end-to-end data flows and system integration 

Relevant industry experience in defining and establishing data management strategies and implementations  

Data domain expertise across the client engagement value cycle with a strong understanding of the systems of record, end to end Data business processes and rules for the impacted internal domain. 

Experience in developing project plans, setting priorities, and manage resources effectively. 

Experience of working with a high performing team and delivering to deadlines 

Strong influencing skills with an ability to persuade stakeholders to adopt data quality practices and make the necessary business process changes 

Ability to guide stakeholders through transitions, reducing resistance and building support. 

Strong understanding the impact of data on customer experience and tailoring data management practices to enhance it. 

Ability to handle multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of stakeholders 

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with storytelling 

Demonstrates enthusiasm & commitment to work 

Ability to adapt to change and escalate problems as appropriate using initiative and discretion 

Ability to develop business relationships internally and externally  

Demonstrates a commitment to quality and integrity  

Proactive work approach and ability to demonstrate good judgement
