About this RoleCDL Laborers are an essential part of our field operations at IFS InfraSource. You will support underground utility construction projects by operating commercial vehicles, transporting equipment and materials, and performing hands-on labor tasks in an outdoor construction environment. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality.
What You'll Do Safely operate commercial motor vehicles and transport materials, equipment, and crew members to and from job sitesLoad or assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipmentUtilize hand tools to dig near existing underground utilitiesSupport excavation, installation, backfilling, and restoration activities as directedComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehiclesAssist in securing the work site, vehicle, equipment, and materials at the end of each shiftPrepare documents, reports, or job aids related to work performed, vehicle inspections, equipment, and safetyPerform general labor and miscellaneous duties as assigned to support project success What You'll Bring Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkAbility to pass DOT-required drug & alcohol testing requirementsAbility to stand or walk for long periods and perform repeated physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reachingStrong commitment to working safely and following established proceduresWillingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel as needed for projects What You'll Get Paid on-the-job technical and professional training Opportunities for future growthThis is a union position with competitive wages, union representation, and access to union‑administered benefitsThis position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
