**Starting Pay: 31.49** **JOB SUMMARY** This is an Operations position responsible for moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Works with the loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments.•Checks to ensure that each unit is sealed and that the refrigeration unit is operating correctly and running.•Moves trucks and trailers from dock to dock as needed to complete the loading process.•Ensures the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area.•Works with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route.•Works closely with fleet shop management to ensure any repairs are finished before using equipment.•Helps keep truck parking yard free of debris and trash.•Arranges trucks and trailers on the yard in an orderly and efficient manner.•Moves trucks and trailers for receiving when needed.•Fuel every piece of delivery equipment daily (including storage trailers located on public streets).•Transports empty trailers to designated back haul sites. + Follow Sysco Safe preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions. + Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse and yard. + Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to hand cart, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipment. + Attend all required company meetings. + Other duties may be assigned. **QUALIFICATION** **Education** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). **Experience** + 2 years local food or beverage delivery experience preferred. + Pallet breakdown and hand cart delivery experience preferred. **Requirements** + Must be 21+ years of age. + Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a “clean” driving record (including no single DUI in the last 3 years and no multiple DUIs within the last 10 years). + 1-year commercial driving experience. + Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test). + For internal associates, or if market conditions warrant, Sysco may opt to require completion of Sysco’s Entry-Level Driver Training Program within first 12 weeks of Driver employment, in place of 1 year CMV experience. + Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. **Professional Skills** + Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions. + Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the Company. + Meet or exceed established cases per error goals + Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills. + Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision. + Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures. + Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations. + Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and the safety regulations. + Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). **Competencies** To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies: + Building Customer Loyalty + Managing Work + Adaptability + Building Trust + Follow-up + Communication AFFIRMATIVE ACTION STATEMENT: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
