Job Description:

We are seeking a highly professional and vigilant CCTV Operative to join our team at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester  CO2 7UT. You will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring access, ensuring site security, and responding promptly to incidents — all in alignment with Ministry of Defence (MoD) protocols.

What you’ll do:

Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security identification and protocols for the site/areaMonitoring of CCTV, Access Control and other protective systemsAct as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reportingLog calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff Deliver and maintain customer service at all times, ensuring client satisfactionMaintain a high standard of a well kept reception/entry area to ensure visitors journey starts with a positive impression.Accurately complete daily occurrence and incident reports

What you bring: 

Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authoritiesStandard SIA license & CCTV LicenseBackground in CCTVExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience in working in a similar role Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures Basic computer literacy
