We're Hiring: CCTV Engineer (Field Based)
Location: Central Belt - Scotland
Salary: £35,000 per annum plus overtime for additional cover
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for technology and a passion for security systems? We're on the lookout for a skilled CCTV Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering and Logistics team.
In this field-based role, you'll be the face of our company on client sites - installing, maintaining, and commissioning CCTV systems to the highest standards. If you thrive on technical challenges, value customer satisfaction, and want to be part of a team that truly makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
The successful candidate must have experience in IP CCTV installations, working with Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, and Hanwha. Experience with Ajax would also be beneficial. A strong understanding of CCTV system designs in accordance with the relevant British Standards is required.
You must be fully capable of not only the physical installation of the CCTV systems but also have a developed understanding of their configuration. Additionally, you should be able to adapt solutions to meet clients' specific needs and the evolving nature of their premises.
There will be out-of-hours working and overtime required, with travel to and from customer sites expected with prior notice. You will also be included in the 'on call' rota system.
Job involves but is not limited to:Installation and commissioning of CCTV systemsMaintenance and fault fixing on CCTV systemsAbility to problem solve and troubleshoot CCTV systemsCompletion of all work documentation on timeEnsuring the client is fully trained on use of new equipment and updated on any potential false alarm hazardsCommunicate with client in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring any issues/matters of concern are dealt with effectively and efficientlyChecking equipment prior to install and ensuring the correct paperwork is present for commissioning purposesManaging van stock and ensuring stock checks are completed, replacing items in a timely mannerBeing responsible for the condition of your vehicle, ensuring vehicle meets safe driving requirements and any faults to the Production & Inventory ManagerConduct on the day risk assessment and identify hazardsKey skills and Experience:Self-starterWorking as an outdoors field engineerWorking alone and in a teamMust have flexible approach to working location and timesExcellent customer service skillsDemonstrable knowledge of CCTV installationDemonstrable knowledge of commissioning CCTV systemsWorking knowledge of IP Networking and excellent IT competenceEssential:Full Driving LicenceCSCS card or an equivalent industry-recognised Health and Safety certificationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary from £35,00031 days leave (includes public/bank holidays),Death in Service Scheme (5 x basic salary)Employee Assistant ProgrammePrivate Health CareAn ambitious team to work withReady to take the next step in your engineering career?
