Job Title: Cavern Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a contingent Cavern Integrity Engineer to support our Caverns Team on a short-term contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in cavern engineering while being exposed to upstream and midstream oil and gas operations. The successful candidate will assist with cavern and asset integrity work, as well as support deintegration activities related to asset transition.

ResponsibilitiesSupport cavern and asset integrity engineering activities.Analyze daily reports to assess cost, schedule, and operational impacts.Assist senior engineers in preparing project execution and summary reports.Communicate effectively with vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders.Support deintegration efforts by organizing and categorizing records and data.Identify and document tools and intellectual property used across business units.Contribute to data management and transfer strategies for asset transition.Ensure accurate and timely communication of operational updates and issues.Essential Skills2 to 10 years of experience in upstream or midstream oil and gas operations.Strong communication skills and ability to interact with vendors and field teams.Quick learner with strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to interpret technical data and summarize key insights.Proficiency in managing and analyzing engineering records and reports.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Fluency in English and ability to communicate technical information clearly.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with cavern integrity or downhole operations.Background in mechanical, chemical, civil, mining, or petroleum engineering.CET designation or equivalent technical certification.Familiarity with data management systems such as SharePoint or OneDrive.Experience with deintegration or asset transition projects.Knowledge of intellectual property considerations in engineering environments.Previous work with wireline service companies or similar field roles.Work Environment

This role involves working in a dynamic environment where multitasking and prioritizing tasks are crucial. The position may require interactions with a diverse team, including vendors and field personnel. There is an emphasis on using data management systems such as SharePoint or OneDrive to facilitate asset transition. The working conditions will involve both office-based tasks and potential site visits to ensure effective support for the Caverns Team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
