Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Cath Imaging Techonologist is a professional with advanced training in cardiovascular/interventional and special procedures. The Cath Imaging Technologist, under the general direction of the Nurse Director, shall perform professional functions involved in a variety of technical aspects.




Technical ProficiencyAssist the physician with positioning of the patient and adjustment of equipment.Knowledge of the proper set up and operation of the Intra Aortic Balloon Pump and Intravascular Ultrasound Equipment (IVUS).Maintains proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation. Identifies dysrhythmias and hemodynamic waveforms correctly.Recognizes abnormal & adverse cardiopulmonary and peripheral vascular symptoms and takes appropriate action.Possesses and demonstrates in depth knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral anatomy & physiology, and interventions.
