About You

We're looking for someone who can confidently supervise a hospital catering service and support both staff and patients.

Can you:

Supervise and support staff while ensuring the RDU kitchen and ward services run smoothly? Organise staff rotas, assign shifts, and step in to cover shifts when required? Work flexibly within a hospital environment, including opening or closing the service as needed? Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and stock rotation? Have allergen knowledge in line with serving patient needs? Communicate clearly and work effectively both as part of a team and on your own initiative?

Do you have:

Previous catering experience, ideally in a similar or healthcare environment? Supervisory experience with the confidence to lead and support a team? Strong organisational and time‑management skills with attention to detail? A flexible and positive approach to changing service needs?

Food Hygiene and Health & Safety qualifications are advantageous; however, full training will be provided, and you will be required to complete Level 2 and Level 3 Food Hygiene and relevant Health & Safety training as part of the role.
