Delaware North Sportservice is searching for a full-time Catering Coordinator to join our team at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota. As Catering Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Catering Manager to oversee Catering operations for Minnesota United FC matches and other events as scheduled. You'll need to maintain professionalism at all times, and work with others in a cooperative manner, even while working under pressure. Our ideal candidate has a positive, can-do attitude, is detail-oriented, and has a well-rounded knowledge of the foodservice industry.

What will you do?Lead Catering operations on event and game days including set up and execution of food and beverage services, appropriately staffing and assigning personnel, resolving guests concerns, and maintaining a strong relationship with the culinary team and client.Customer service responsibilities include speaking directly with guests regarding food and beverage and any follow-up.Assists with recruitment for hourly associates, including working with the Talent Acquisition team to pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and identify individuals for hire.Uphold guest service standards by implementing training strategies and participating with the rewards and recognition program.Assists with booking, set-up/tear down, and full execution of catered events.Prepare various operational reports; keep records pertaining to sales and requisitions.Assist with inventory control & reporting.Data entry and administrative tasks such as scheduling, charge tips reporting, payroll, etc.Maintains established food presentation and service standards, providing an ongoing enhancement to these based upon current trends in the catering industry.Assists with other catering tasks as assigned.
More about youMust be at least 18 years old.Minimum of 2 years experience in a food service positionMinimum of 6 months customer service experience - prior food and beverage service experience is preferred.Prior MICROS point of sale systems and/or Caterease experience is preferred.Experience with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to new software platforms.Exceptional organizational and project management skills.Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.Self-starter and able to work both independently and on a team.High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.Basic math skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical requirementsAbility to move inventory, products, carts, tables, etc. as well as using kitchen utensils and commercial kitchen equipment.The environment may include hot, humid, or cold temperatures.Possible exposure to high volume of noise.Must be able to tolerate standing and walking for long periods of time.
