We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team. 

As part of this role, you will become a Frozen Food Picker joining our cold storage warehouse team. This role is responsible for accurately selecting frozen food products based on customer  orders, preparing them for delivery , and ensuring product quality is maintained.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a freezer environment and follows all safety and food handling protocols.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately pick frozen food items from shelves or bins according to pick lists 

Verify product codes, quantities, and expiration dates to ensure order accuracy

Pack and label orders securely for distribution

Work in a temperature-controlled fridge / freezer environment 

Maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards in handling products

Ensure accurate stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out)

Replenish picking areas as needed and assist with stock counts

Report damaged or expired products to supervisors

Follow all health, safety, and warehouse procedures and protocols

 

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse or cold storage environment is an advantage

Comfortable working in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (PPE provided)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Level 2 Food Safety Qualification is an advantage
