Job Description: Catering Assistant
Location: ESB Networks Training Centre, Portlaoise, Co. Laois
Pay Rate: €13.50 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at the ESB Networks Training Centre in Portlaoise. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service and an interest in food service operations.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the chef with general kitchen duties and food preparation
Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Set up and maintain hospitality and dining areas
Operate the till and handle cash transactions, including end-of-service cashing up
Support with front-of-house cleaning and hygiene standards
Help with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and service areas
Skills & Experience:Excellent customer service skills are essential
Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to take initiative and maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation
