Ingredion is looking for a Category Specialist for the Agribusiness in Hamburg!
The Category Specialist Agribusiness Europe is responsible for the European co-products business, including market analysis, managing strategic co-product sales plans to drive profitable growth and commercialization (negotiations and closing of contracts) as well as the execution and logistics of European co-product sales.
Additionally, the role will be responsible for our grain supply operations to the Hamburg site, incl. planning and coordination of sea freight and port logistics for grain in cooperation with shipping companies, terminals and services providers for both bulk and containerized shipments.

Core Responsibilities:
Market analysis - Conducting analysis of the corn and animal feed market such as supply and demand trends, pricing and opportunitiesSales of corn co-products, process starch & downgrade products - Execution of the co-products strategy to increase valorization.Grain supply operations – Planning and execution of grain deliveries from customers via port terminals in the origin, ocean freight and logistics in Hamburg until delivery to the manufacturing site.Support grain contracting – be part of the cross-functional contract negotiation team, incl. Procurement and Supply Chain, responsible for planning contract negotiations, engaging in contracting, formalizing agreements, planning and performing supplier visits and audits. Manage the grain position.Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
Degree, or equivalent in a business-related subject.Strong Commercial and/or procurement experience in agribusiness, specifically in animal feed.Experience in Central Europe with knowledge in formula contracts like HAFU, GAFTA, Incograin or similar standard contracts.Demonstrated experience in a supplier and customer-facing role.Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally as well as externally.German and English fluency, both written and spoken is a must.Desirable requirements
