As DB’s Category Manager - Procurement, you will play a key role in aligning our suppliers with DB’s strategic goals maximising value, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving performance across Supply Chain, Logistics, and CAPEX procurement. In this role, you’ll develop and execute strategic category plans, optimise supplier relationships, and ensure procurement outcomes that support both local and global business objectives. Your expertise will help shape a commercially driven, high-performing procurement function that delivers long-term value for DB Breweries.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies for supply chain, logistics, and CAPEX categories, aligning with DB's strategic goals.
Engage with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs, ensuring early involvement in procurement decisions and fostering strong collaboration.
Lead supplier engagement, driving innovation, cost reduction, and service improvements through effective supplier partnerships.
Manage local procurement projects, supporting global initiatives, and ensuring contracts are executed and managed efficiently.
Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with HEINEKEN's standards and managing supplier performance through formal reviews.
Provide commercial guidance and coaching to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement decisions are transparent, auditable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Your background and experience:
3–5 years of experience in a Procurement Category Management role, with a strong focus on Supply Chain/Logistics procurement. Experience in CAPEX procurement is an advantage.
Proven expertise in drafting and approving contracts within the New Zealand legal context.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and optimise supply chain expenditure, delivering cost efficiencies and enhancing value.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience within a multinational organisation or operating company is highly valued.
