Essential Responsibilities:
Partner with the Vice President, Procurement to develop and execute enterprise-wide category management strategiesLead category performance to deliver sustainable cost savings, improved supplier performance, and contract complianceDevelop long-term strategies to optimize spend and maximize value through innovative and strategic sourcing approachesDesign and implement category toolkits and supply chain analysis methodologies to consistently identify and deliver valueMonitor market trends and supplier activity, sharing insights with operational teams to support category plans and best practicesCollaborate with the strategic sourcing team to manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contract managementEnsure sourcing activities align with category strategies and establish supplier performance frameworks to drive continuous improvementProvide strategic procurement guidance to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with enterprise and operational objectivesBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, to ensure efficient and compliant procurement processesLead, develop, and mentor the Category Management team while identifying and mitigating procurement-related risks to ensure supply continuity and resilienceQualifications:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement, with a proven track record leading category management and sourcing in complex environmentsProfessional procurement certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPSM, CIPS) are considered an assetDemonstrated experience implementing category management approaches for goods and servicesStrong knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, supply chain principles, and change managementAdvanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and apply insights to decision-makingSolid understanding of strategic analysis tools and their application in driving category strategies and value-based outcomesProven ability to conduct market analysis and leverage findings to optimize sourcing decisionsStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teamsIn-depth understanding of contract law and enterprise-wide contract management principlesWorking conditions:
