Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a committed Category Manager with outstanding negotiation and communication skills and a proven ability to manage complex and large suppliers and business stakeholders.The category Manager is responsible to secure the implementation of the supplier base in the region and sub category strategies in alignement with Global Procurement.  Category buyer will also contribute to the Procurement savings pipeline and will be responsible for the execution and implementation of these activities in the local region. The category Manager will be also responsible for the category sustaining to secure suppliers will reach the KPI metrics.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Responsible for securing the implementation and deployment of the Danfoss Procurement (DP) category strategy in the region Execute and support on performance management with relevant suppliers (scorecards, development dialogues) Execute supplier consolidation aligned with DP and inbound logistic for CC Suggest suppliers for RFQ processes in alignment with DP Suggest suppliers for R&D activities with AQE and DP Identify and execute procurement KPI pipeline (P2P savings, supplier consolidation, quality & delivery performance) Execute procurement projects (C projects) Support DP in executing contracts and annual negotiation Execute price negotiations for projects and make price agreements with suppliers in alignment with DP Support and execute the contractual aspects of logistic set-up with all suppliers (SLA incl. ramp-up/down activities and capacity evaluation) in close cooperation with regional inbound teams Background & Skills

An engineering background at bachelor’s degree  5 years of relevant experience as Category Manager English advanced Background working with Machining and Pressed Parts/Stamping suppliers Contracts negotiations with suppliers (Payment terms, YOY improvements, etc) 3-5 years experience of  Sourcing Projects (execution and implementation) using Milestones methodology for approval including but not limited to: RFQ process (considering TCO), Suppliers Benchmark, PPAP process coordination, Pilot Run, customer requirements, phase in/out and Ramp up follow up.  Employee Benefits
