Key Responsibilities:
Own and drive the P&L for the Home / Home Furnishing category (focus on mattresses and allied products)
Build and execute the category strategy: product assortment, pricing, promotions, vendor partnerships, and customer growth initiatives
Identify emerging consumer trends, market gaps, and new product opportunities using data and customer insights
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, product, and finance teams to roll out campaigns and new launches
Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key vendors and brands; lead commercial negotiations and margin improvement
Conceptualize and launch new products, private labels, and exclusive collections
Optimize stock, manage inventory health, and reduce ageing or slow-moving SKUs
Ensure category KPIs (GMV, contribution margin, sales, stock cover, etc.) are met or exceeded
Benchmark category performance against industry leaders like Flipkart, Pepper fry, Urban Ladder, etc.
Desired Background:
Must have prior experience working with top home / home furnishing / mattress brands.
MBA/PGDM from a reputed institute preferred
6–10 years in category management, merchandising, buying, or similar commercial roles
Proven expertise in managing large product portfolios and driving P&L
Strong analytical and data-driven approach; proficient in Excel and BI tools
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment with high ownership
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
