Reports to: Senior Director, Strategic Projects
Background Required: 5+ years of experience in category management, pricing, merchandising preferably in retail auto repair industry.

Position Overview:
The Service Category Manager plays a key role in driving growth and profitability across service and parts categories. This role leverages data-driven insights, strategic pricing, and competitive benchmarking to optimize performance. The ideal candidate combines analytical expertise with strong cross-functional collaboration skills to deliver results that align with customer expectations and company goals.
This position works closely with marketing, supply chain, operations, and finance to develop and execute category strategies, manage pricing models, and provide actionable insights that improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Category Strategy & Optimization
Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, improve margins, and strengthen competitive positioning. Design and optimize service and parts assortment and promotions, collaborating with supply chain and vendors to meet customer needs, strengthen market position, and drive profitable category growth. Partner with cross-functional teams to align and implement category initiatives across the organization.Lead Pricing & Market Intelligence
Analyze market trends, competitive pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing strategies. Build and adjust pricing models to ensure alignment with financial and strategic objectives. Contribute to broader business optimization initiatives with pricing and market insights.Deliver Business Insights & Performance Analytics
Use data and analytics tools to uncover trends, track KPIs, and guide decision-making. Provide actionable insights that improve execution, efficiency, and category performance. Collaborate with vendors to optimize funding, refine product mix, and support promotional execution.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). 5+ years of experience in category management, pricing, merchandising, or a related role. Automotive, retail, or services industry experience strongly preferred. Proven success in driving revenue, margin, and unit growth through data-informed strategies.Skills:
Expertise in pricing strategy, promotional planning, and competitive benchmarking. Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to turn data into actionable insights. Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and ERP/pricing systems. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across functions.
