Category Lead - Specialty Care

ROLE SUMMARY

The Speciality Care Category Lead is responsible for the Business Unit management in Saudi to deliver “Breakthroughs that change patients’ lives,” as part of Pfizer’s purpose-driven growth agenda.

Reporting to the Saudi Country President, the Specialty Care Category Lead will be a member of the Country Leadership Team and will be responsible to drive the maximization of the Specialty Care business in Saudi, providing input into key strategic and tactical decisions as well as into business development opportunities as well as being responsible for delivering the revenue and IBT targets. The Specialty Care portfolio consists of Innovative Hospital , Growth hormone and Innovative Rare Disease products.

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing an annual and multi-year operating plan and contributing to the broader strategy of the Saudi Organization. He / She will also lead a commercial team of Marketing and Network Account Manager colleagues and a broader extended cross functional team of medical, commercial, H&V and public affairs, among others, in order to drive in country performance.

The incumbent will represent the business at the country level both internally and externally, where appropriate, and aligned with business and Pfizer interests.

The complexity and scope of this position require a constant balancing of priorities and adapting to everchanging environments using sound business judgment and decision making

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Leadership, Financials and Planning

Successfully lead a large and complex portfolio and optimally allocate resources within the portfolio;Drive excellence in business planning and execution in order to reach and exceed P&L targets;Develop and deliver Strategic and Operating Plans for own portfolio to ensure profitable performance;Lead the business planning locally and co-creation at a Global level;Approach business with a One Pfizer mindset to optimize results for Pfizer;Ensure alignment and appropriate allocation of resources via direct and in-direct reporting structure, including Medical, H&V, Corporate affairs and other relevant functions;Ensure robust financial forecasting and management, aligned to brand/customer opportunities and market dynamics, and guide and support team to engage and align with in-country/regional/global actors;Monitor performance to ensure P&L expectations are met and stakeholders like Country President and Global teams are clear on P&L drivers.

Strategy

Identify and exploit market specific opportunities to grow revenue and income;Maximize lifecycle product performance through excellence in aligned and innovative planning and execution;Evaluate, develop and execute new go to market strategies and innovative reimbursement approaches in partnership with H&V;Drive launch excellence and innovation of portfolio to ensure leading and premier launch performance versus benchmark competitors;Lead the digital transformation of customer reach initiatives with close follow up of relevant metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in science, pharmaceutical science or business administrations requiredMBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years' experience in similar fields.Successful business and P&L leadership experience, both from marketing and sales, including different business situations like launching and driving a mature brand/portfolio;Broad knowledge of the Saudi healthcare landscape preferred;People management and leadership experience, having created strong, empowered and innovative teams with good spirit;Proven track record of producing excellent business results.A demonstrated capability to lead and inspire change and transformation;Proven effectiveness to manage several priorities, act autonomously and lead complex operations in a changing landscape;Extensive experience leading through matrix teams and ability to get things done in complex matrix organizations;Demonstrated ability to lead and partner across functions and with global/regional teams, including collaboration with senior level management .

Skills
