Category Growth & CX Manager, Amazon Music Japan
Amazon Music Japan is seeking a talented and motivated Program Manager to drive category marketing initiatives and next-generation product development at the intersection of physical music media and digital experiences. This role sits within the Industry team and reports to the Head of Industry & Commerce, Amazon Music Japan.

You will own high-impact programs that position Amazon Music as the top destination for music fans who purchase physical formats and merchandise, while simultaneously collaborating with label partners to pilot innovative product offerings that combine physical and digital content. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of music commerce in Japan — one of the world's largest physical music markets.

Key job responsibilities
Category Marketing | Own and execute initiatives that make Amazon Music top of mind for music customers and fans who buy physical formats or merchandise from their favorite artists.
• Amazon Music Merch Storefront: Manage the end-to-end storefront experience, including cohort-targeted merchandising and personalization strategies to surface the right products to the right customers.
• High Velocity Event (HVE) Campaigns: Develop and execute music-focused marketing campaigns for key retail events (New Year, New Life, Prime Day, Black Friday) to maximize merch store traffic and conversion.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously analyze and optimize storefront performance, leveraging data insights to grow glance views and artist searches on amazon.co.jp.

CX & Product | Collaborate with label partners to run pilots of next-generation music product offerings that combine physical and digital content and experiences.
• Pilot Development: Identify, scope, and launch pilot programs with Japanese and international label partners that blend physical media (CDs, vinyl, merchandise) with digital experiences (streaming access, exclusive content, AR/VR).
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with label partners, internal product teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to align on pilot goals and timelines.
• Scalability & Commercialization: Evaluate pilot results and develop business cases to transition successful experiments into evergreen, revenue-generating product offerings.

A day in the life
Your mornings might start with analyzing storefront performance data and optimizing merchandising for key artist releases. Midday, you're aligning with label partners on a pilot that bundles vinyl with exclusive streaming content. Afternoons shift to planning the next Prime Day campaign — coordinating creative assets, targeting strategies, and cross-functional stakeholders. No two days are the same, but every day bridges the worlds of music fandom, physical retail, and digital innovation.
