About your future job
As Category Buyer F126 you are part of the Thales Netherlands Procurement team as well as the Global Category team. You are responsible for managing dedicated Work Packages consisting of a large subsystem within the segment B ‘Systems & Equipment (incl. their in-services-support)’ for the German F126 project.

Proactively and in close alignment with Legal & Contracts, the PPM (Procurement Project Manager) organization and GCM (Global Category Manager) organization you are responsible for closing contracts for dedicated Work Packages and amend existing contracts within F126, in line with the business needs and coherent with the strategy defined by the GCM for the worldwide Category.

You are part of a cross functional team between Procurement, Engineering, Legal & Contracts and Finance.

You closely align with the other Category Managers / Buyers within F126 to optimize over the various Work Packages and with the PPMs who execute the subcontracts according to their contractual baseline. Managing internal and external stakeholders is key in building close relations with your suppliers in order to make supplier knowledge and competitiveness available to the benefit of Thales products and services.

Your responsibilities include:

Shape, communicate and steer implementation of the negotiation strategyDrive negotiation and contracting of suppliersBuild and strengthen relations with suppliersManage and continuously improve contract baselines of Work Packages already being executedLead the team responsible for the Work Package to be contracted / amendedInform and report to stakeholdersCreate value and reduce risk in cooperation with the suppliers and stakeholders
