**In this role, you have the opportunity to**
Business Unit Lead for Catalog Management is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the product catalog for a specific Business Unit. The lead plays a crucial role in ensuring that the catalog management processes are executed efficiently, meeting the needs of stakeholders and contributing to the overall success of the BU. As the direct report to the Cluster Lead, BU lead bridges the gap between day-to-day operations and strategic goals.
**You are responsible for:**
**Operational Management:**
+ Oversee the daily operations of the catalog management team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the product catalog.
+ Allocate tasks and responsibilities within the team, ensuring balanced workloads and adherence to deadlines.
+ Monitor performance metrics, ensuring the team meets or exceeds service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
**Stakeholder Coordination:**
+ Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders within the Business Unit, understanding their needs and translating them into catalog management requirements.
+ Collaborate closely with product managers, marketing teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the catalog reflects the most current and accurate information.
+ Address and resolve any operational issues or escalations from stakeholders, ensuring their concerns are managed promptly and effectively.
**Continuous Improvement:**
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements within the catalog management function, aiming to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
+ Implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the team, ensuring consistency and high-quality output.
+ Encourage team members to contribute ideas for improvements, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

+ Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
+ Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and setting clear goals for individual and team performance.

**Collaboration on the cluster level:**
+ Work closely with the Cluster Lead to align the BU’s catalog management activities with broader cluster and organizational objectives.
+ Provide regular updates and reports to the Cluster Lead, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
+ Participate in strategic planning sessions, contributing insights from the BU level to inform cluster-wide initiatives.
**Your team**
You will lead a global team that is responsible to deliver commercial catalog for the Magnet Resonance business unit. You catalog modelling team will be primarily located in Chennai and your peers are global from Singapore to Seattle.

+ Extensive experience in catalog management, product data management, or a similar role within a shared services or centralized function.
+ Experience leading a team or managing a small to mid-sized operational unit.
+ Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives and stakeholder management.
