This position will report directly to the Senior Director Finance of the Caterpillar Technology Division. **What You Will Do:** + Provide financial leadership and support to Cat Technology, including all aspects of accounting, financial reporting and systems + Manage divisional month end financial reporting up through Cat Technology Senior Vice President, Segment CFO, Division CFO and Corporate FP&A + Coordinate annual business plan and quarterly forecast updates with the Segment CFO organization and Corporate FP&A + Implement financial management tools in support of Global Finance Services Organization’s strategy, as well as accelerate and standardize Cat Technology financial analyses + Refine project allocation methodology to provide financial transparency on major initiatives across the enterprise + Lead the process for analyzing and approving the capitalization of key investment initiatives across Cat Technology + Participate in strategy development to improve enterprise profitable growth + Manage and coordinate the development of accounting related functions for the division, including actual and planned accountable profit business statements + Lead profitability, margin and growth opportunity analysis of Technology sales providing insights for industry, region and products + Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve financial analysis, business insights and risk evaluation + Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals. + Consolidate the results and oversee the business unit reporting for two business units + Oversee the cascading of financial results to business partners across the enterprise, while partnering with division and segment consolidations teams for actuals reporting and financial planning activities **What You Have:** + **Business Acumen:** Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. + **Finance and Accounting:** Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. + **Organizational Governance:** Knowledge of the processes, customs, policies, and rules affecting the way the organization is administered and controlled; ability to ensure compliance with governance guidelines and policies. + **Strategic Thinking:** Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. + **Leadership:** Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. + **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. + **Financial Forecasting and Modeling** : Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques of financial forecasting and modeling; ability to explore and evaluate alternative financial scenarios and results. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. **Top Candidates Will Also Have:** + Bachelor's degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline + Progressive Accounting or Finance experience, including cost accounting and budget development **Additional Info** : + The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL + Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + Domestic travel up to 10% **Summary Pay Range:** $169,320.00 - $253,920.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
