What will I be doing?
As Sundry/Gift Shop Sales Representative, is the primary person in charge of all point of sale transactions. Works closely with the Sundry/Gift Shop Supervisor to ensure a five star quality service in all phases of Sundry/Gift Shop operation with attention to detail and proper service protocol. Will assist as needed with the operation of the entire Sundry/Gift Shop. You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nAt all times follow the safety guidelines\nYou are expected to be in complete uniform (name tag, grooming standards, etc.) at the posted scheduled time and before you punch in\nYou are expected to be on time as scheduled for your shift\nComply at all times with standards and regulations to encourage efficient Shop operations\nCheck in with supervisor at the beginning of shift for instructions\nResponsible for merchandise sales, assisting with telephone calls and inventory.\nMust have full retail products knowledge\nAssist with all retail operations, such as: shop displays, sales, pricing of merchandise, ordering, receiving, and inventory control\nAnticipate guest needs and respond promptly at all given opportunities.\nTo learn proper procedure for the position and be knowledgeable about the merchandising inventory\nInforms Managers of ways to improve the overall operation, your working conditions and comfort of guests\nAssist in the cleaning and organization of the Gift Shop\nInteract with Guests and staff in a positive, friendly manner\nResponsible for cash register transactions and daily sales reports\nInform supervisor when supplies and inventory is below par\nMaintain a warm and friendly smile\nCommunicate any special request to designated personnel for follow-up\nMaintain complete knowledge of merchandising inventory\nPerform any other duties specified by manager or supervisor\nQualifications:
\nSecondary School Certificates - Required Mathematics and English Language
\nOne year retail shop sales experience an asset
\nProven track record in exceptional customer service
\nKnowledge of merchandising
\nExperience operating a point of sale system - Asset
\nExcellent communication skills oral and written
\nProven record of driving sales/meeting targets
