We have an immediate need for a REMOTE Casting Mechanical Engineer in support of our supplier casting activities. The primary focus of this role is to support casting functions by forecasting and tracking processes to ensure OTD of parts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Partner with team members for to drive casting manufacturer development and project costsProvide engineering technical support for Castings activities therefore reducing casting product cost.Develop plans for every part number supporting procurement with supplier decisions and development.Work Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field or in lieu of degree a minimum of 8 years’ experience in casting producibility or similar rolesPreferred disciplines include Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing EngineeringMust be able to read blueprints and conceptualize product configurationsAdditive manufacturing experience helpfulMust be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier endDue to the nature of work being performed you must be a US Citizen
This position is FT remote with occasional travel to suppliers or company HQ location
Candidates must be based in the USA
Annual Salary: $80K to $120K, [depending on experience]
