JOB SUMMARY
The Cashier II receives and posts payments to patient's account, total and balance payments, and performs general office duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Processes payments to the patient and non-patient accounts from lockbox, facilities, credit card reports using the appropriate patient accounting systems.
Reviews patient accounts at the time of payment, daily reports and QUIC to ensure accurate, high quality customer service.
Processes credit cards online payments timely and accurately in the patient accounting system for multiple facilities.
Process ERA files electronically and verifies rejected transactions.
Balances daily all posting transactions by facility.
Posts adjustment sheet request sent by other BSWH departments.
Research unidentified payments and posts the correct account or request refund. Maintains an updated, accurate spreadsheet for unapplied payments.

- EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
- EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience
