Job Description:

Performs cashiering functions with accuracy, speed, and courtesy to customers.



Schedule: Days and Evenings (full-time)

Hours: PRN (flexible hours)

1.Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies and procedures. Includescounting bank for accuracy, set up registers for daily use, counts daily cash intake, closes out registers and run end of shift reports.
2. Prepares reconciliation statements for deposit according to policy.
3. Transports money to cash register point of sale.
4. Restocks and rotates food items as needed in food retail areas.
5. Maintains clean and sanitary area of cafeteria and dining area and equipment. Ensures equipment is in good working condition and reports any malfunctions. Takes appropriate actions if out of compliance.
6. Adheres to regulations created by Hazardous Analysis of Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. Takes responsibility to report on customer incidents ( Food poisoning, slip/fall and Occurrence Hotline).
7. Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health, and abides by service behavior standards.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

Preferred
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

One (1) year of cashier experience is preferred Previous food service and customer service experience is preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$17.33 - $22.54
