Cashbook Accountant Job Description: As part of the Global Finance Organization, the North America Finance Operations Team is established to manage transactional processing services across North America within Sage. This hybrid role will be located in Lawrenceville GA. This is a multifaceted role with accountability for timely and accurate processing of operational accounting leading into accurate period close/reporting. Also playing a significant role in the completion of statutory and regulatory accounting across North America Entity Structure. This role is a major contributor being accountable for accurate and high-quality balance sheet completion including relevant R2R controls and governance. This is an exciting role for those who are looking to drive a Finance team of the future with a view to automating processes. Delivering value add services to customers and key stakeholders through innovation & process improvement, which is a key part of the Sage culture and would be needed to ensure the success of the RTR team. The candidate should have strong technical accountancy skills with a proven history of driving change and continuous improvement. They will be experienced partnering with stakeholder relationships across all levels of an organization. Key Responsibilities: Summary of Role As part of Sage’s Global Finance Organization, the North America Finance Operations Team is responsible for managing key transactional accounting processes across the region. Based in Lawrenceville, GA, this hybrid role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate period-end close, regulatory compliance, and high-quality balance sheet management. You’ll also contribute to modernizing and automating processes, helping shape a future-focused finance function that delivers real value to stakeholders. What I Will Be Doing In this role, you’ll ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions that feed into monthly and quarterly reporting. You’ll be involved in bank reconciliations, journal entries, subledger reviews, and month-end close activities, while also supporting audits, ERP system implementations, and integration work for mergers and acquisitions. You’ll collaborate with teams across AR, AP, and other finance functions to resolve queries, improve processes, and enhance efficiency. A key part of your work will be driving process improvements, reducing reconciliation timelines, and ensuring robust R2R controls and governance. What We Are Looking For We’re seeking a technically strong accounting professional with a degree in accounting or finance and proven experience in operational accounting and period-end close. You’ll have a track record of driving change, improving processes, and partnering effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a proactive approach to innovation are essential. Experience in system migrations, ERP platforms, and M&A integration will be highly valued. Most importantly, you’ll bring the energy and curiosity to help shape a high-performing, forward-thinking finance team.
