Astria Health is seeking a Cash Posting Representative to join our team! This position supports the entire organization. This is located at our Business office, M-F 8am-5pm, and is not a hybrid or remote position.

The Cash Posting Representative is responsible for accurately posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts. This role plays a critical part in the revenue cycle process, ensuring timely and correct application of payments from various sources including insurance payers and patients. You will:
Accurately post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts based on remittance advice from insurance payers and patient payments.Perform daily reconciliation of posted payments against bank deposits and insurance remittance advices.Ensure accurate entry of payment data into the healthcare system’s financial software.Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment postings, collaborating with the billing and collections departments as needed.Maintain detailed records of all posting activities, ensuring audit trails for all transactions.Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding healthcare payment posting.Assist in generating financial reports related to payments and adjustments.Work closely with other members of the finance and billing teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in the revenue cycle process.Performs other duties as assigned.Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization.High School Graduate or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or medical billing is a plus.Experience in medical billing or cash posting, preferably in a healthcare setting.Understanding of medical billing practices, insurance remittance advices, and patient payment processes.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in the use of healthcare billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Oral and written fluency in the English language.
