Aston Carter is looking to hire a Cash Applications specialist in Indianapolis, IN. This position offers competitive pay with a top company in the area! Job Description + Receive and process various forms of customer payments, including checks, electronic transfers, credit cards, and other payment methods. + Accurately record and document each payment transaction in the company's accounting system, ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting standards. + Reconcile customer payments with outstanding invoices or accounts receivable, matching payment amounts to the appropriate customer accounts. + Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with payments, collaborating with internal departments or contacting customers to clarify payment details, identify errors, or address concerns. + Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting guidelines. + Generate regular reports related to cash application activities, such as outstanding receivables, payment trends, or discrepancies, and provide analysis or insights to management as required. + Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including reconciliations and preparation of related reports. + Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to payment-related inquiries, assisting customers with payment processes, and addressing any issues or concerns. + Assist with the collections and billing processes. Skills & Qualifications: + 2 + years of ERP System Experience or Spreadsheet experience + Intermediate Excel Skills - Ability to do VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables + 3 + years processing a high volume of invoices (200+ invoices daily) + Processing various forms (customer payments, checks, credit cards, etc...)
