Case Specialist
Description We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves managing case files, reviewing applications, and providing essential support to participants in need of housing assistance. The position is based in San Diego, California, and requires proficiency in Farsi to effectively communicate with clients. Responsibilities: • Review and evaluate housing assistance applications to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Provide case management services to participants, including referrals to appropriate housing and social support resources. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly recorded. • Conduct follow-up communications with clients to confirm address and financial status changes. • Collaborate with supervisors to review and approve funding requests. • Respond to inquiries from participants and provide clear information regarding their cases. • Assist in identifying sustainable housing solutions tailored to individual client needs. • Ensure timely release of payments by processing and verifying case details. • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on policies and procedures. • Regularly interact with clients, social service representatives, and other stakeholders to provide exceptional client service. Requirements • Proficiency in Farsi is required to effectively communicate with clients. • Strong background in case management or customer service, particularly in social services. • Ability to analyze and evaluate applications with attention to detail and logical reasoning. • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in welfare-related roles is highly desirable. • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple case files and ensure accurate record-keeping. • Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals and responding to inquiries. • Familiarity with housing assistance programs or similar services is a plus. • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and other team members to achieve goals.
