Job Overview:
Provide internal and external coordination of administrative and other activities related to the development and implementation of functions related to the Case Management Department.
Qualifications:
Required:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent
+ 5+ years administrative secretarial experience
+ Detailed knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word for Windows, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook and Microsoft Office
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects
+ Strong anticipation skills and forward-thinking, excellent communication skills
+ Able to interact at all levels with internal and external personnel
Preferred
+ Associate/Bachelor's Degree
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Working Shift: Monday Friday
+ Day Shift
+ Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week
Essential Functions:
+ Maintains all office IT needs
+ Provides consultation to intra and external departmental staff regarding data analysis and display
+ Utilizes personal computer to accurately type letters, memos, reports and minutes
+ Maintains policy and procedure manuals and ensures that material is entered into the index and filed appropriately
+ Maintains Director's and all Upper Management calendars and schedules meetings appropriately
+ Manages all weekend and on-call schedules for staff
+ Acts as backup to main office phone and manages upper management phone calls
+ Ensures the entry of data into Allscripts Denied days in an accurate and timely manner (e.g. entry of insurance appeal determinations)
+ Scans insurance logs, letters and other documents into Allscripts
+ Enters denials, approvals, clinical requests from Daily Logs
+ Tasking clinical requests to appropriate CM
+ LOI denial management, tasking and then following up on approvals
+ Appeals and denials area data collection and interpretation
+ Reviews and compares the hospital compare report to extract items such as outliers and interpret and present relative data that should then be shared with other departments and turned into actionable items
+ Conduct reviews of all of our regulatory items within the Utilization Management Department, and interpret trends in decreasing areas of percentage for discharge planning assessments
+ Reviews important messages from Medicare, Moon Forms, and CMS Regulatory items, in order to advise CM Leadership on where Corrective Action Plans may need to be placed
