Carrier Relations Manager- Inbound Transportation
Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position.Support the growth of Family Dollar partnerships with carriers and internal corporate departments to reduce overall costs while improving service levels Principal Duties and Responsibilities  - 
The primary tasks the associate will perform during his/her work scheduleBook quarterly business review (QBR) meetings and calls; participate in meetings and distribute related materials and meeting minutes in a timely and effective mannerAdministratively support annual carrier conference with travel, presentations, meeting attendance, documentation and catering coordinationFacilitate routine carrier touch base calls to review performance as related to all functional transportation teamsParticipate in RFP cycles across modes, supporting management with communication, consolidation of responses, reporting of results and other tasks as requiredMonitor, research, summarize and report challenges with carrier performance via carrier scorecardUtilize systems and optimize procedures as guided by managementResearch, create and edit presentations and reportsMaintain appropriate level of confidentiality and professionalism within the organization, across vendors and carriersWork closely with Transportation Management and Analysts to develop strong carrier and corporate partnerships by liaising with those partners on a routine cycleAnswer and direct phone calls and emailsMaintain appropriate contact listings for the teamComplete other various assignments, as required Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experienceOne to three years of transportation work experience Previous corporate office experienceDynamic and agile work stylePolite and professional, exhibiting a desire to support the needs of othersAbility to be successful in a changing environment and be successful with the ambiguity of changeAbility to work well with people at different organizational levels internally and externallyAbility to gain trust with associates and carrier representatives by exuding compassion and respectMust possess qualities of integrity, discretion and strong ethicsStrong organizational and problem solving skillsDetail orientedStrong written and verbal communication stillsStrong working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and ExcelAbility to manage numerous projects simultaneouslyMust possess qualities of integrity, discretion and strong ethics Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.Experience in transportation services
