C.H. Robinson is seeking a Carrier Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the customer’s carriers and will be responsible for building relationships, measuring performance, and driving service improvements. You will represent the customer to the carrier and work closely with the customer’s team, the internal account team, and own the operational relationship with the customer’s carriers.
To succeed in this role, you must excel at relationship building, have strong communication skills, and possess a deep understanding of service and cost metrics, the transportation industry, and project management.
This role offers a hybrid work environment, with in-person collaboration every two weeks in Monterrey, Mexico, and the flexibility of remote work the rest of the time—combining teamwork with autonomy.

Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collaborating to create and track carrier performance improvement plans
Continuously improving carrier management processes
Managing carrier rates, lane bids, and maintaining the master rate file
Handling rate and invoice exception management with the internal account team
Publishing and interpreting carrier scorecards and service metrics
Working directly with customers on large request-for-proposal (RFP) exercises
Serving as the carrier escalation point to resolve open issues
Participating in procurement projects, including data extraction, analysis, formatting, and presenting rates and pricing data
Performing other duties or responsibilities as assigned based on team or location-specific needs
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of four years of professional experience
Ability to travel up to 25 percent, domestically and internationally
Preferred:
Experience in procurement, carrier sales, transportation, logistics, or supply chain
Strong relationship management, presentation, documentation, and accountability skills
Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of a customer’s organization, both written and verbal
Knowledge of market trends and pricing strategies with the ability to execute accordingly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
