Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Performs complex detailed carpentry work on building and other structures throughout the seven parish District. + Installs and fits fine trim work around lights, electrical fixtures, windows, doors, comers, etc. + Installs floor tile, ceiling tiles, suspended ceiling, and locks. + Builds all manner of detailed carpentry from hand drawn shop drawings or blueprints. + Constructs cabinets, shelving unit, and workstations for computer terminals. Will also do finishing work such as sanding, staining, varnishing, painting of new and existing furniture, woodwork or other related projects. + Keeps records as required by maintenance foreman, which may include, petty cash tickets, requisitions, inventory, daily work reports, etc. + Serves as lead worker in the absence of the maintenance foreman by setting the pace for and guiding the work of carpenters and any other indirectly supervised mobile equipment operators or trades apprentices who are engaged in the carpenter project.
