Job Description

You will stay informed and communicate effectively on project scope, revisions, change orders, and schedule updates while taking direction from department leads and clients.

Responsibilities

Apply expert carpentry skills to perform installation and building tasks with high quality and efficiency.Stay informed and communicate effectively regarding project scope, including revisions, change orders, and schedule updates.Take direction from the Carpentry Department Lead, Interior Manager, subcontractors, and clients.Take ownership of the department's safety, cleanliness, security, and protection of materials.Prepare clear and accurate drawings for the install team, collaborating with engineers and designers as needed.Proactively order necessary construction materials and keep the Carpentry Department Lead and Interior Manager informed of any specialty item requirements.Represent the principles of the company in conduct and work.Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards, adhering strictly to plans and specifications.Maintain a positive and solution-oriented attitude, even when facing challenges.Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and take initiative without constant supervision.

Essential Skills

Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter, Cabinetmaker, High-end Installer, or Joiner with a strong experience in high-end installations.Ability to read schematics and drawings.3-4th level apprentice or journeyman status is ideal.Strong attention to detail and marine experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the marine industry is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

Work Environment

Work indoors in a new build environment with steady shifts. Choose between the AM shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) or the PM shift with a $3.50 premium (Monday - Friday, 4x10, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM). Candidates ideally complete a 3-month training period on the AM shift before moving to the PM shift. Uniform and PPE are provided, but you must bring your own steel-toe work boots. The team is hardworking and takes pride in their work, with a strong team-oriented culture requiring close collaboration with other trades.

This is a Contract position based out of Richmond, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
