Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of wood, laminates, drywall, ceiling systems and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.
The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.
Responsibilities
Read blueprints, drawings and sketchesTake measurements and calculate the size and amount of material neededCut, shape and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurementsInstall windows & doors, build walls using industry approved materials or pre-constructed itemsLay out floorings, or drywallsCreate countertops using wood and laminatesRepair / reface laminate surfacesInspect places and conduct general repairs or maintenanceAssist with set ups of various events and activitiesPerform general carpentry work including but not limited to woodwork and building, hanging or installing cabinets, selecting and preparing timber, board or other building products or materials, installing, repairing, maintaining or removing latches, handles and hinges.Perform basic lock work tasks as needed including repairs or maintenance and installation of locks, door handles, and door closures.Operation of and working from elevated aerial platformsOperation of forklifts, pallet jacks and other material handling equipmentAssist with snow removal and operation of a variety of equipment related to the task including but not limited to plow truck and spreaders, snow blowers and throwers, compact tractors, skid steer loader and hand spreaders BRING US YOUR BEST.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proven experience as carpenterHands-on experience in working with carpentry materialsExcellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionProficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)Ability to read technical documents and drawingsWillingness to follow safety guidelines at all timesGood understanding of basic mathHigh school diploma or GEDSuccessful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is preferred STAY IN THE GAME.
