PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for providing oversight to multiple crews on the project. Work with subcontractors on scheduling and managing the crew’s work tasks. Ensure the project's quality and safety and ensure that all necessary materials are available when needed.

The base compensation range for this role is $34-44 per hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors, including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.

KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

 

Ensure proper IWP is in place and understood by their crew

Examine blueprints to determine the dimensions of structure

Lay out floor-plan and cabinetwork using tape, framing square and calipers

Select materials and structural units, such as lumber, prefabricated doors, cabinets of wood or plastic, paneling, and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance

Determine sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly and erection of structure

Assign workers to such tasks as cutting material to size, building concrete forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring

Inspect work performed by subcontractors including ductwork, wiring and pipe installations, to ensure conformance with specifications

Install doors, builds stairs and lays hardwood floors

Shooting grades and elevations

Unload, handle, stockpile and erect of all pre-fabricated materials

Order necessary materials in advance or before running out of supplies

Concrete and rough carpentry:

Hand set walls

Footings

Set gang wall forms

Structural concrete decks

Slab on metal deck and grade

Concrete columns

Drywall

Finish carpentry, doors and hardware

Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware

Finish carpentry: install toilet accessories, hand rails, corner guards, toilet partitions, lockers, upper cabinets, lower cabinets, countertops, wall paneling systems, coffered ceiling systems and running trim

Train craft and foreman on job procedures

Supervise crews – daily progress checks, verifying safety, quality and productivity

Assign workers to required task for the day

Verify timecards are filled out correctly at the end of the day

Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance

Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

All other duties as assigned

Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams

Some ability to read plans

Ability to operate equipment such as: table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging and form systems

A. Minimum 6 year of related experience
