**Job Title: Carpenter (Repair and Refurbish)** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team dedicated to repairing and refurbishing modules used in schools and business offices. As a Repair and Refurbishment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of these modules, ensuring they are safe and efficient for use. **Responsibilities** + Work independently and safely with a sense of urgency. + Utilize hand and power tools effectively. + Maintain cleanliness of the shop and trailers, including floors, walls, and counters. + Assist and train in service team duties and refurbishments. + Inspect electrical systems, focusing on basic wiring. + Scrape and seal roofs as necessary. + Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors. + Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, and fixtures. + Maintain cleanliness of working areas, including lawn, parking lot, and building. + Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders. + Participate in regular safety meetings with a safety-first mentality. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in carpentry. + Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Knowledge of computers. + Carpentry knowledge. + Ability to operate a floor buffer. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Skill in using a variety of hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Own basic hand tools such as hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, and tape measure. + Knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus. + Background in carpentry, plumbing, repair, minor electrical, and minor HVAC. **Why Work Here?** This role offers a 6-month contract with the potential for hire based on performance. Trailers may not have air conditioning. Standard working hours are 6am to 2:30pm, with shifts adapting in the summer to 5am to 1:30pm. Flexibility in hours is required. Dress code includes steel toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt, with company-provided glasses and gloves. Must bring steel-toed boots, a tool bag, and basic hand/power tools. Drug and Background check are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
