Carpenter - $32-$37/hr

1 Week Contract (December 1st - 5th)

Job Description

We are seeking skilled carpenters and apprentice carpenters to join our dynamic team at various construction sites in Coquitlam, BC. The ideal candidates will work closely with the superintendent to identify daily tasks, attend toolbox meetings, and execute assignments that include reading blueprints and completing various forms of light industrial tilt-up formwork, such as panels, footings, slabs, retaining walls, and stairs.

Responsibilities

Meet with the superintendent to identify daily focus areas.Attend morning toolbox meetings for task assignments.Read and interpret blueprints for construction tasks.Execute tilt-up construction, including form panels, footings, slabs, retaining walls, and stairs.Assist in building panels, footings, retaining walls, and stairs.Support the preparation of footing, slab, panel, and underground layouts.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience in construction as a carpenter.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Strong communication skills.Ability to commute to all sites independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Vehicle strongly preferred.Experience with tilt-up construction.Red Seal certification.Industrial construction experience.Telehandling experience.

Work Environment

Our construction sites are busy and fast-paced, emphasizing communication and safety as top priorities. Typically, each site hosts around 15 employees, along with subcontractors totaling approximately 60 people. Work hours start at 7 AM, with an 8-hour workday that includes breaks. There is potential for overtime. Employees are expected to bring their own tools and adhere to safety protocols on site.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
