Carlin - Process Safety Coordinator

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Safety Coordinator at our Carlin operation. The successful candidate will safely and effectively perform increase peer to peer engagement that will promote courageous safety leadership.

Responsibilities:

 

Oversee the Process Safety Team to increase peer to peer engagement that will promote courageous safety leadership

Actively recruit and engage safety team membersEngage with peers to establish safety team topics and areas of interest to incorporate safety excellenceBe in the field a minimum of 8 hours a day doing peer to peer engagementsCollaborate with supervision and upper management on the implementation of safety programs and topicsCollaborate with S&H and other division safety committee leaders to align safety topics with all divisions within Nevada Gold Mines. Attend all safety committee meetingsCoordinate and attend all Process safety committee meetingsEncourage safety committee members to attend and participate in the safety committee meetingsEncourage safety team members to present safety committee topics at the division safety meetingsMeeting planning & facilitation, directing and tracking progress of safety team, compiling & presenting interaction results, working closely with supervisory staff to ensure data is available for various projectsPresentations to crews / team / management, quarterly newsletter creation, safety meeting content coordination, and assistance with mid-year safety trainingFrequent interaction with multiple work groups inside and outside of the division, working with miners, technicians, technical/support staff, supervision, and management

 

Qualifications:

 

Two years in the Process division required

Excellent communication and organizational skills preferred

Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office) preferred

Proven safe work record and demonstrated courageous leadership required

Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision required

Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions required

Ability to interact with a wide variety of people, both verbally and written, required

Ability to direct teams required

Ability to recognize hazardous conditions required
